The Results for January 2006 Are In
You have all voted by now (there were almost 1,000 votes), and the decision is final now: in January 2006, I’m blogging about cats. Those who voted for this topic may start purring now...
The follow-up contender last month has been “superheroes.” Because this one had a lot of votes as well, I might pull it out of the vote sleeve again in half a year or so, but not for anytime soon. The least popular topics voted on last month were “George W. Bush” and “The Godfather.”
This month to the right side, you’ll find 5 fresh topics to vote on for February (the topics are listed in random order to not skew the vote in any direction). Some of the topics have been suggested by you using the submission form. Some topic suggestions that didn’t make the February contender list were “craftspeople’s life in Tajikistan,” “pantyhoses,” and “not cats.”
Now last month, some of you have asked me “Do you mean cats the animal, or Cats the musical?” The answer is: potentially both. While my focus will probably be “cats the animal,” I will write about whatever fits into the topic as it has been listed in the vote, and if it’s ambiguous, I might write about both interpretations of an idea.

Nice start for the Year of the Dog.– Eugene (Monday, Jan 2 2006)
This is taking blogging way too far....
you should be writing about things that come to YOUR mind, not what people vote for. – A Nony Mouse (Tuesday, Jan 3 2006)
Nony Mouse, it’s actually a combination; I’m writing about what comes to *my* mind, within topics that came to *your* mind. Also, I’m sometimes including topics to be voted on that I thought of (e.g. Stanley Kubrick, a February candidate). I’m really enjoying it! :)– Philipp Lenssen (Tuesday, Jan 3 2006)
