Napoleon Dynamite’s Name
Napoleon Dynamite’s name originates from the pseudonym used by Elvis Costello for his 1986 album “Blood & Chocolate” (which includes the song “Poor Napoleon”). Or so you might think! But actually, the movie’s producer says this similarity is only a coincidence. They were not aware at the time of choosing the name, and learned about it later on when the film was in production already.
On a side-note, did you know you can shuffle the letters of the name “Napoleon Dynamite” to make for “Not a madeline pony"? Sweeet!
